Veneer can be produced with a saw, a veneer peeling machine or a slicing machine. Sawing provides high quality but is not very efficient. Therefore, a veneer peeling machine or a slicing machine is usually used. Both machines use a knife as a tool, but the veneer peeling machine rotates the tree trunk and peels the veneer out of the wood in the form of a continuous strip.
