Specifically, the MC in the veneer is important during the plywood making process for several reasons—wood veneer changes dimensions when it dries or absorbs water. Therefore, to produce a stable and quality veneer and plywood, the veneer drying machine has to reduce the MC by drying veneer to the right level prior to further processing. Also, in order for the adhesives to bond properly, the wood veneer has to have the proper MC. Shine roller veneer dryers have the features of uniform moisture content, flat with no buckle or end waviness, free of splits and the surface is in good condition before gluing. In addition to the uniform moisture content, the veneer dried by the shine core veneer dryer is flat with no buckle or end waviness, free of splits, cracks. Shrinkage is kept to a minimum during the drying process of the wood veneer dryer machine. So after drying, the veneer is in a very good condition before gluing for plywood making machine.
